Crystals are the blossoms of the mineralogical portion of the Earth; the recognition of the
beauty and loving energies of these forms can greatly enhance ones personal
development. They are the myriad fireworks of both creativity and individual universal
energies.

The crystal is defined as any portion of a mineralogical body exhibiting characteristic
internal structure and enclosed by symmetrically arranged plane surfaces, intersecting at
definite and characteristic angles. It is the "regular" form which a substance tends to
assume, during the process of solidification, through the inherent power of cohesive
attraction.

Crystals have been used and/or revered since the dawning of civilization. The Christian
Bible refers to crystals over 200 times. Recall, the spiritually crystalline city whose walls
were made of crystals, whose gates were of pearls, whose streets have no dust but gold
dust, whose crystalline light falls upon the crystal sea and crystal river, and where souls
that are clear as crystal are jewels forever in the crown of the redeemer.......Crystalline
structures have been found in the ruins of Babylonia and in the ancient tombs of Egyptian
and Chinese rulers.

Crystals exhibit the property of both piezoelectricity and pyroelectricitiy.
Piezoelectricity is the quality whereby electricity, and sometimes light, is produced via
compression. Many of the early civilizations of the Earth [Mayan, Aztec, American Indian,
African Native, Celtic] often used quartz crystals in ceremonies and struck the crystals
in order to produce a flash of visible light. Compression produces the release of
electrons. Release of compression allows expansion [albeit minute] of the crystal and
concurrent re-absorption of electrons; hence, producing mechanical energy [vibration].
Pyroelectricity is the quality of an electrified state, or polarity, which is produced by,
and changes with, variation in temperature. The pyroelectric state activates expansion
of the inherent energy when the crystal is heated; subsequently, when cooled, the energy
contracts and remains within the structure.

The energies of the mineral kingdom are "universal energies". Hence, when on contacts
and is willing to receive this energy, and begins to exercise personal creativity via
exercise of the Higher Will, one can contact and synthesize the energies from which the
entire universe is comprised. This is the reason that crystal and other minerals are so very
powerful and also why their powers must only be used through the highest consciousness
of the individual.

ACQUIRING CRYSTALS

"Finding" crystals or being open to crystals "finding" you are the techniques for
obtaining crystals. One my acquire crystals by actually unearthing them, by buying them
and/or by receiving them as gifts.

You can use the "first impression" method to "find" your crystals;
-stand in front of a group of crystals
-close your eyes and relax
-open your eyes and quickly pick up the first crystal you see.

Other times you may be drawn to a particular crystal with out knowing the reason.
This crystal has "found" you and wants to be with you [at least for the present].
Meditation may provide the answer with respect to its purpose in sharing your life. The
crystal could, however, be for someone else and you can facilitate that person having teh
crystal by buying it and by remaing as its Earth-keeper until the "right" time occurs and it
may be presented to the "right person".

DEDICATION

Upon receiving a "new" crystal, a dedication is always recommended. This may be
accomplished by holding the crystal while consciously "willing" that the crystal be used
only in love, in light, and for the good of all.

CLEANSING CRYSTALS

There are a multitude of methods which have been utilized for crystal cleaning. The
following provides several examples of workable techniques.
-Take the crystal to the sea, cleanse it in sea water and energize in the sun
-Smudge the crystal with sweetgrass, cedar, sage, incense, etc.. This method has been
used for centuries by the Native American and Native African Tribal cultures.
-Soak the crystal in sea salt for 7-24 hours, rinse with pure water and energize in the
sun. Caution: with some of the softer crystalline forms, salt or abrasive substances may
mar the surface but will not, however, affect the properties of the crystal.
-Place the crystal on a larger crystal cluster or on another mineral for 12-24 hours.
-Beam white light from the area of the third eye and surround the crystal, sweeping any
negativity to a black hole which is filled with a white light.
-Cleanse the crystal in flowing spring, river, lake or tap water and energize in the sun.
*Water is the universal cleanser and is effective in cleaning undesirable energies from
all physical forms.

CHARGING AND PROGRAMMING CRYSTALS

CHARGING A CRYSTAL

-Place the crystal on a large crystal cluster
-Place the crystal in the center of a circle, where the circle is comprised of other
crystals whose terminations are pointing toward the center.
-Place the crystal in sunlight and/or in the light of the moon.

PROGRAMMING CRYSTALS

Prior to programming a crystal, the following pre-programming is recommended:
-Program the crystal to receive Divine Will such that the results will reflect actualization
for the good of all.
-Program the crystal for protection in the light.

The act of holding a crystal and intending to use it for a specific purpose is the simplest
form of programming.
Another method, primarily relevant to the programming of thoughts, and universal energies
which are inherent to the mineralogic formation, involves the following:
-Formulate a precise phrase which accurately describes the nature of the programming.
-Hold the crystal in the left hand (if left-handed, hold it in the right hand), relax for
several minutes, initiate circular breathing, and center the consciousness. Consciously
align the personal conscious awareness with the higher self and/or other appropriate
other-worldly beings.
-Ask for guidance, protection, and assistance in the programming process. Open the
center of consciousness and allow receptivity to flow through to the inner being.
-Repeat the formulated phrase 20-30 times in succession while visualizing and/or feeling
the desired effect of the program. Be open to higher assistance during this process.
-As the phrase is repeated, an energy filed will build and culminate in the energy pattern
necessary to represent the desired program.
-While maintaining full awareness of the energy field, bring total awareness and
consciousness to the area of the third eye or the heart chakra. Place the crystal in front
of the area of the third eye or heart chakra and allow the self to feel the connection
with it.
-Direct the energy field into the crystal for 30-60 seconds and allow the program to be
transferred to within the crystal. Intuitive recognition will signal when the transmittal is
complete.
-Detach consciousness from the crystal and allow the universal energies to act.
